You need to stay home right now because it’s safer. This virus is showing us what it can do and I don’t want it to show up in my house. Yes, I was one of those who thought it was no big deal, just another flu. I was wise enough however, to keep my eye on it and learn about it as much as possible. All I can say at this point is – Stay safe, love your family and remember to be grateful for what you have!
Staying home plus the shortage of food in the grocery stores means we need to come up with creative ways to feed our families. I know a lot of you are probably missing the burgers and fries or the luxury of going to a resurant and not having to worry about cooking and cleaning. While I don’t have a magic solution that will take the cooking and cleaning completely away, I do have ways to make it easier and still have the foods you are craving too.
Ground meat is one of the things that is harder to find at the moment, so burgers are not as readily made. One way you can have your burger and eat it too is to grind your own meat. If you already have meats at home pull out your Fusion Master with Mincer attachment and get ready to make some amazing and unique burgers your family will love! Even if you need to go shopping for the meats, buying in bulk makes it cheaper, then you bring it home and divide it up, grind what you want and keep the rest whole for other meals!
How to Build a better burger
Choose your protein base, then choose what you prefer to use as a binder. Add some fat if needed for extra juiciness and flavor (and it fills you up better too – perfect for getting your healthy fats in if you are keto!), Finally, divide it all up and get to grilling – use your Micropro grill for time saving and delicious burgers even if it’s not a good grilling day! I recommend grinding all the meats you will need for a week, or a month at a time – depending on how often you use ground meats. This is another time saver. Here’s a look at your options….
Now that you have your meats ground, let’s talk seasonings! You have your typical seasonings for beef burgers – My normal is salt, pepper, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. If you are taking the chicken route you have your spicy – buffalo chicken, cajun BBQ, and Jerk Chicken. Or you can go sweet with teriyaki, Honey mustard, or sweet and sour. for your Bean burgers there are a ton of options too. One interesting one I saw is Greek Burgers. For your Salmon you can also do cajun, plus there is blackened or dill. So many options! And we’re only talking burgers so far! You got this!
To Make these Keto: Make 90 Second bread for your buns, or just leave them off and make it a burger salad! Also, leave out the breadcrumbs or replace with half the amount of almond flour. For your fries, slice jicama with your Mandoline instead of potatoes. They are delicious!!
Here are a couple soup recipes for you, have them as a different meal, or do soup and burgers! All you need is your Microwave Pressure Cooker or Stack Cooker.
